Powerdrive
Wood Powerdrive Ltd.
Wood Green
London
1956-1958

After the end of the Allard Clipper project in 1955, David Gottlieb designed a new car to be sold under the Powerdrive name. They were built at Wood Green, London and sold through the Blue Star Garages chain. It was a full width aluminium panelled convertible with a three-person bench seat. The rear mounted British Anzani 322 cc engine drove the single rear wheel. Although listed from 1956 to 1958, few were sold at the price of £412. (A Reliant Regal four-seater with a four-cylinder engine cost £8 less).

It is thought that five still exist.

The Coronet was a modified form of this car.
