Chiltern
Woodman & Fitch
166 Great Portland Street
London W1
1919-1920

A 12 hp car of identical specification to the 1919 Vulcan Light Car manufactured at Beale Street, Dunstable, Bedfordshire and marketed by Wardman & Fitch. The Dunstable premises were owned by the Vulcan Motor & Engineering Company (1906) Ltd.

The Chiltern may have only existed on paper and actually became a Vulcan with a change of radiator and badges. It seems that the engine was fitted to the chassis at Dunstable, and then driven to Southport for coachwork. Few were sold, and many regularly returned to the Southport works for repairs. It is unknown whether any of these cars actually had Chiltern radiators.
